ROBERT ‘BOB’ KING
Robert (Bob) King, 84, Winchester, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara King of Winchester; one son, Bobby (Debbie) King of Ohio; one daughter, Rhonda (David) Thompson of Ohio; three stepsons, Asa Conkwright, Paul Conkwright and Jerry Conkwright of Winchester; three stepdaughters, Rachel Hall, Sally Thornberry and Margaret King of Winchester; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 16 stepgrandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 3, at 10 a.m. at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson with the Rev. Stanley Burnett officiating.
Burial in Winchester Cemetery at Winchester, Wednesday, March 3, at 1:30 p.m.
Military rites will be observed at the funeral home.
Breathitt Funeral Home in Jackson in charge of arrangements.
MARTHA EMILY LUCK
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Emily Luck, 95, of Winchester, formerly of Louisiana, Mo., will be Friday, March 5 at 2 p.m. at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Mo. The Rev. John Lersch will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, Mo.
Mrs. Luck passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at the Fountain Circle Health Care Center in Winchester.
She was born Dec. 13, 1914 in Louisiana, Mo., to Malcolm and Izola Sisson Carroll.
She married O. B. “Pete” Kelly July 28, 1934 and he preceded her in death Sept. 26, 1979.
She married Edward Luck June 12, 1986 and he preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1997.
Martha is survived by two sons, William E. Kelly and wife, Betty Sue of Winchester, and Gerald Thomas Kelly and wife, Lynn of Washatugna, Wash.; two grandsons, Michael Kelly of Leavenworth, Wash., and Thomas S. Kelly of Spencer, Wash.; two granddaughters, Leslie Vaughn and Susan Berryman, both of Winchester; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Lucille Keith of Stark City, Mo., and Anna Bell Griffith of Clarksville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Carroll, who died April 8, 1991, and Malcolm Carroll Jr., who died Dec. 23, 1998; and two sisters, Gertrude Huntley, who died Nov. 6, 1971, and Edna Frances Griffith who died April 22, 2003.
She was a member of the Calumet Presbyterian Church and a member of the Missionary Society.
EDWARD CROWE
Edward Crowe, 80, of Winchester, widower of Sarah Crowe, passed away at 12:10 a.m. today at Windsor Care Nursing Home in Mount Sterling.
He was born in Powell County July 26, 1929 to the late Alfred and Stella Crowe. He was retired from the Freeman Corporation and was a veteran of the Korean War. Ed was also a new convert to the Christian faith.
He is preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Hartwell and John Crowe, and two sisters, Ethel Smithers and Maude Birch.
He is survived by one sister, Ora Todd, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, March 4, at Wells Funeral Home in Clay City at 1 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Mike Crowe, Mark Crowe, Everett Todd Jr., Billie Ray Todd, Steve Todd, Harold Crowe and Douglas Crowe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Sallee, Daren Henry, Donnie Kennon, George Scott, John Ed Harris, Jim Smithers, Don Birch and the personnel at Hospice East.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391.
