The 1985 Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival will be one day longer than past festivals, and will feature a second concert, Jack Hodgkin said Wednesday. Plans for the festival were discussed at a committee organizational meeting Wednesday morning at the Holiday Inn.
A lifelong interest in herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians, was shared at Wednesday’s luncheon meeting of the Winchester Kiwanis Club by George Siegfried, a retired Rockwell International employee. A movie, made some 40 years ago, showing Siegfried and others handling various snakes, including a rattle snake, was shown.
Earl B. Rynerson, eldest son of Dr. and Mrs. Earl B. Rynerson, Colby Road, has been selected a regional finalist in the competition for 1985-86 White House Fellowships. He is one of 139 regional finalists selected from 1,339 applicants to the committee.
