The Ladies Friendship Circle of Forest Grove Christian Church held its regular meeting Sept. 3 at the church on the Old Boonesboro Road. The meeting opened with prayer by Jacque Adams followed by the secretary’s report by Liz Ashcraft and the treasurer’s report by Ruth Wills.

The home of Junior and Hazel Miles, North Middletown, was the scene Aug. 25 of a birthday cookout for Betty Wilcozx and Geneva Craycraft. Attending were Betty and Homer Wilcox, Ms. Craycraft, Raymond, Mel, Raymond Junior and Angie Wilcox, Bill and Betty Wilcox, Betty, Pam, J.R., Tammy and Jessica Johnson, Alvie, Bonnie and Daniel Bailey, Teresa and Denny Haggard, Jeff, Debbie and Nikki McCarty, Junior and Thelma Stamper, Junior, Hazel and Sherry Miles, Donna Bailey, Ray Bellamy, Steve Miles, Beverly Turner and Derrick Hudnall.
