Bennie Hooten, age 83, born in Winchester, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Maria-Joseph Nursing Center. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Bennie E. Hooten Sr. and Alberta Burton Dysart; son, Robert Anthony Hooten. He is survived by his daughter, Benita Hooten; sons, William Eric (Trina), Bennie E. (Peggy) and David Kendal (Valeria) Hooten; sisters, Juanita (George) Coles, LaVera (Gary) Persons; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, September 9, 2016 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 10 am-1 pm. Family will receive friends 12-1 pm.
