The Clark County Board of Education has received state approval for proposed improvements at Pilot View School, board members were told Thursday night at their regular meeting. Since spring, the board has been waiting for the state to review the school facility plan and rule on whether the system could construct a library and two classrooms at the school.

Two new members, Margaret McGuire and Trudi Berryman, were introduced and several future events were discussed at the September meeting of the Log Lick Homemakers Club held at the home of Mrs. Elwood Berryman.

The George Rogers Clark High School Lady Cardinals golf team defeated Estill County by forfeit Thursday at the Winchester Country Club when Estill could not field a complete team. Clark shot its best score of the season, 203, in the match.
