Mr. Leslie Dee “Pappy” Thompson, 79, of Elkin, passed away, Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Thompson, was born in Clark County, KY, On July 11, 1937 to the late Richard Thurston Thompson and Ethel Mae Utterback Thompson.
In addition to his Parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Katherine Thompson.
He is survived by his children; Leslie Diane Palmerton and husband Ben, Debbie Johnson and husband Danny, Richard Thompson and wife Connie, Tammy Kincade and husband Phillip, Dee Thompson and wife Lisa, Michael Thompson and wife Tina, sister, Judy Sparks and husband Gary all of Kentucky.
Services will be at 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at New Life Assembly Church. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Monday, October 3, 2016 at Scobee Funeral Home.
