WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged
— Ova Lynn Smith, 34, was charged Thursday with second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Reports
— At 11:16 a.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning a forged check.
— At 11:58 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to 1100 Interstate Drive concerning a theft.
— At 12:31 p.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning a stolen purse and cell phone.
— At 12:33 p.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning a harassment complaint.
— At 1:03 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 344 Oxford Drive for a burglary in progress. Ova Lynn Smith was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
— At 5:03 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 1960 Bypass Road concerning a man with a pistol causing problems.

— At 7:50 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 722 Colby Road after a male in the bushes wearing a clown mask tried to grab a female, who ran away.
WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Thursday, emergency personnel responded to four general medical calls, two cardiac cases, two respiratory cases and one overdose.
— At 5:08 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to 115 E. Broadway St. for an unauthorized burn. The fire was extinguished.
