Ruth Delane Clemmons May, 68, of Winchester died Sept. 22, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
She was a native of Florence, Alabama, a member of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
She is survived by her husband, James L. May; two daughters; three grandchildren; and a sister.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, two sisters and a brother.
The funeral service with full military honors was held Monday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home with Max Hester officiating. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery. Her nephews and grandsons served as pallbearers.
Memorial tributes may be made to the American Lung Association Sarcoidosis Research, Bernie Mac Sarcoidosis Research or Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Research.
