Eugene D. “Pap” Hatton, 77, husband of Barbara Sue Hatton, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2016, at Clark Regional Medical Center.

He was born on May 7, 1939, in North Middletown, KY, to the late Jack D. and Ethel Jackson Hatton. He was owner of C&P Trucking for 35 years and had a passion for old cars and trucks. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Church of the Living God. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Cheryl (Mark) Allen and Pam (Rick) Overbee; three grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Fletcher, Casey (Keith) Roach and Matt Allen; five great-grandchildren, Caleb, Eli and Rylan Fletcher, Eli and Grayson Roach; brothers and sisters, Jerry Hatton Sr., Patty Brandenburg, Glen Hatton and Bessie Bates; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Hatton Jr.; and two sisters, Esther Crowe and Zella Estes.

Services will be conducted at 1:00PM Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Church of the Living God by Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. Richard Plummer. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rick Overbee, Mark Allen, Matt Allen, Keith Roach, Josh Fletcher, Stanley Crowe and Herbert Wills. Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon and Margie Becraft, Herb and Evelyn Wills, Joe and Charlene Hisle, Donnie and JoDella Ritchie, Donnie Hall, Mike and Theresse Fields, and Kenny and Mimi Sparks.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-8:00PM at Church of the Living God.
