Recently, President Obama informed Congress that he was not in favor of the Bill that would allow 9/11 families to sue Saudi Arabia for the loss of their loved ones. He explained that it would open the U.S. and its people to being sued as a result of this new law, so he would veto the bill if it passed.

It did pass, and the president vetoed it.

Congress promptly overrode the veto. Now, 28 senators are having second thoughts about their actions and Sen. McConnell informed the media that they (Congress) would not be in this situation if Obama had taken the time to inform them of the possible problems with the bill.

It is possible that the Congress did not take the time to read the bill or even to listen to their president. Shortly after this story was aired, it was reported that this congress has been in session fewer days than any Congress since 1955. Apparently, Congress just did not have enough time on the job to do their due diligence.
