The KY EXCEL Champion award recognizes outstanding leadership in promoting the goals of the KY EXCEL program and encouraging Kentucky’s private and corporate citizens to participate in positive environmental stewardship behaviors.

Winchester Spring’s ongoing efforts and ECO projects create a safer workplace for all employee-partners, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, landfill requirements and increase operational efficiency.

In Winchester, the company has adopted local streets for Community Clean-up, participated in “4H Adventures in Agriculture” Day Camp and donated pallets for local projects such as helping downtown Winchester’s Better Block Project where the pallets were repurposed into benches. The company also donated pallets for the Beer Cheese Festival project and will be participating in Enrichment Fridays with an environmental learning activity with elementary students.

This is Winchester Spring’s third Environmental Award since joining KY EXCEL in 2012.
