Retired teachers meeting Oct. 18

Fish and Game club youth hunt

The Clark County Cooperative Extension District Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at the Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive.

Community Education classes 

The following Community Education classes begin next week:

— Smartphone, Wednesday, Oct. 19, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m., $60

— Lunch & Learn: Effective Communication Skills, Wednesday, Oct. 19, noon to 1 p.m., $10 for Chamber of Commerce members, $15 for non-members. Registration and payment are required two business days in advance. Absentee voting begins

Absentee voting is open for Clark County voters who will be out of the county during election day, Nov. 8. Hours for absentee voting at the Clark County Clerk’s office are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
