Historic Preservation Commission meeting Oct. 20

The Winchester Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the City Commission Chambers in City Hall.

The Winchester Board of Commissioners will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Winchester City Hall. Items on the agenda include a number of personnel orders related to the fire department and the demolition of a house at 107 S. Highland St.

Retired teachers meeting

The Clark County Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon Tuesday at Taste of China. Michele Bradford will speak about the Beacon of Hope shelter and take the group on a tour. Members are asked to bring sample-size toiletries for the shelter. For more information, call 771-2659.

Board of Adjustments meeting

The Winchester-Clark County Board of Adjustments will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the Commission Chambers at City Hall.

Fish and Game club youth hunt

Extension district board meeting Monday

The Clark County Cooperative Extension District Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. today at the Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive.

Fix a Feral Cat meeting

“Fix a Feral Cat Campaign: Plan to Spay/Neuter Feral Cats in Clark County” will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clark County Public Library. Absentee voting open

Absentee voting is open for Clark County voters who will be out of the county during election day, Nov. 8. Hours for absentee voting at the Clark County Clerk’s office are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
