MARJORIE BRADFORD

Miss Marjorie Bradford (Walker), age 88, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016.

Born at the onset of the great depression in 1928 in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Marjorie was the eldest of three children born to the late Hollis and Minnie Reeves Bradford. Miss Bradford graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1950 with a degree in Home Economics. Immediately upon her graduation, Miss Bradford was invited to join the faculty at Centre College in Danville where she taught until 1955. At that time, she moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she earned her Master’s Degree in clothing and textiles. Upon graduation, Miss Bradford joined the teaching staff at Oregon State University for a semester long internship. Afterwhich, she joined the Department of Home Economics at the University of Cincinnati for a year before moving on to a position at Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Marge later became a Home Economics Agent in Morgan County, Kentucky for the Cooperative Extension Service at the University of Kentucky. She retired from this position in 1994 and moved to Winchester, Kentucky, where she worked part time at Al’s Garden Center.

Known as a perfectionist, Marge was a master gardener, a remarkable seamstress and a passionate homemaker. Miss Marjorie was smart, feisty, thoughtful and kind.

Marge was a member of the United Methodist Church of Flemingsburg.

Marjorie is survived by her brother, Robert Jordan Bradford, of Louisville, Kentucky, her three children, William Bradford Walker of Lafayette Indiana, Melissa Allen Walker and Michelle Taylor Walker Campbell, both of Lexington, Kentucky. Miss Bradford was Nana to one grandchild, Donovan Blake Campbell.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Minnie Bradford and by a brother, Lawrence Allen Bradford, all of Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 1:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Winchester.

A devoted Daughter, Sister, Mother, Nana and friend, Marge will be missed by many.

DOROTHY MAE LONG EDENFIELD 

She was born July 28, 1925 in Winchester, KY. She died peacefully in her sleep, Saturday morning, October 15, 2016, while a resident of Asbury Towers, Greencastle, IN, after a short decline in health.

Dorothy was married to George Paul Edenfield of Seaman, OH, born April 13, 1913 (May Hill, OH) and who died July 19, 1989 in Mooresville, NC. They met while both were working for the Crosley TV plant in Cincinnati, OH, and were married November 27, 1947, at Covington (KY) Methodist Church. They had 41 years of happy marriage, during which she was a housewife and he was a farmer and postal worker. She had a previous short marriage to Elmo Snowdon of Winchester, KY, during World War II.

Dorothy is survived by son, George Ernest Edenfield, daughter-in-law, Anita Lynn Poole Edenfield both of Greencastle, IN, grandchildren, George Edward Edenfield and wife Mary Edenfield of Marengo, OH, Aimee Lynn Edenfield Voskuhl of Wilmington, Lorena Elaine Edenfield of Anchorage, AK, Sara Elizabeth Edenfield Hudson and husband David Hudson of Flora, IL. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her mother, Frances Long Abney, her sister Mary D. Long Anderson, and her grandparents, William Henry Long and Susie Smith Long, who had raised her as their child.

Visitation services will be held at Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home, Winchester, OH, on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.. Visitation will be followed by a brief graveside service at 2:30 P.M. in the Cherry Fork Cemetery, Cherry Fork, OH, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband George Edenfield.

LINDA SUE CRAIG

Linda Sue Craig, 60, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Clark Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Versailles, KY, on December 28, 1955, to Arthur T. Craig and the late Anna Elizabeth Craig. She was a member of STRIDE and Central Baptist Church for more than 40 years.

In addition to her father, she is survived by siblings, Arthur (Iraline) Craig Jr. of Midway, KY, Joyce (A.G.) Campbell of Elkton, KY, Rodney (Karen) Craig of Winchester, KY and Donna (Jim) Wheeler, also of Winchester, KY; nieces and nephews, Neil and Nathan Craig, Rachael Jackson, Chris, Patrick and Ryan Campbell, Elizabeth Glover, Dennis and Adam Craig, Jessica Goodwin, Jamie Bailey, Beth and Amanda Wheeler; several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1:00PM Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Central Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 12:00PM until time of service.

ANN CAROLYN FAUST LUSK

On Sept. 29, 2016, our beloved Ann Carolyn Faust Lusk passed away peacefully from a long illness.

Ann Carolyn was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Midway, Kentucky. She was the only child of Roland and Louise Faust. Ann Carolyn lived most of her life in Winchester with her husband and two daughters.

Preceding her in death are her parents.

Ann Carolyn is survived by her husband, Everett Seely Lusk. She is also survived by her two daughters, Judith Lusk Lyster and Jane Roland Lusk Gibbs. Ann Carolyn lived for her six grandbabies. They were her world and they brought her tremendous joy. Ann Carolyn’s grandsons, Warren McAlister Lyster, Stephen Seely Lyster, Christian Colby Gibbs, Roland Clay Gibbs, Hugh Madison Gibbs IV and Everett Lusk Gibbs will miss her greatly.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Linda M. Stauffer, 67, died Oct 15, 2016.
