Clarification

In the “Meet The Candidates” special section, which inserted in the Sunday, Oct. 23, edition of the Sun, Scott Hisle, a candidate for the District 2 Board of Education seat, alleged that his opponent, Todd Wilson, “made the motion to instead raise the tax rate by the largest non-recallable permissible increase of 4 percent and the Board approved that increase.” According to the meeting minutes from Wednesday, Sept. 7, Wilson did not make the motion. Board member Gordon Parido made the motion, and Wilson was one of four members who voted “yes” on the motion.
