4-H robotics team competes at state level

In August, the Clark County 4-H Robotics Club competed in the Kentucky 4-H Robotics Competition at the Kentucky State Fair.
The youth worked all year to prepare for the competition. The challenges included a Kentucky Derby Challenge Course, Hydraulic Arm and SumoBot Competition. We are very proud of the youth. They worked together to build, program, test, critique and showcase their work.
Twenty teams from all over the state competed in the competition. The beginner team of Naomi Schanding, Nathan Dattilo, Jake Martin and Zach Bratten placed second overall. The advanced team of Jacob Smith, Caleb Hall, Joey Martin, Tyler Bourne and Kyle Bourne placed seventh overall.
We would like to thank all of the parents and families for their support along with Andy Lewis and Herman Smith. Please join us in congratulating all of these individuals for their hard work.
