The wait is nearly over.

After months of construction, the Winchester Bojangles’ location is set to open Wednesday — just a week after the opening of the Georgetown Bojangles — according to a press release issued by the restaurant chain Friday.

Bojangles’ invites customers to join the grand opening celebration for the restaurant, located at 100 Hospital Drive.

Opening day kicks off at 4 a.m. with free cups of Bojangles’ Bo’Town Roasters coffee. The festivities will continue when doors open at 5 a.m., with giveaways and offers planned throughout the day. Giveaways include a $50 Bojangles’ gift card for each of the first 50 customers on opening day. It’s not uncommon to see Bojangles’ fans lining up hours (or even the night) before the restaurant opens, so residents are encouraged to be part of the fun by showing up early.

Other opening day offers and activities include:

— All customers may enter to win Bojangles’ breakfast for a year.

— Free sweet Bo-Berry Biscuit with any purchase from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

— Free 22 ounce legendary iced tea with any purchase from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

— Free kids’ meal (for kids 12 and younger) with any purchase from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

— Customers will receive a coupon for a free ham, steak, sausage or Bo-Berry biscuit with any purchase from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

“We’ve had a busy month in Kentucky with the opening of Georgetown and now our Winchester locations, and we couldn’t be more thrilled,” Dion Firooznia, regional vice president for Bojangles’, said. “We’ve heard the excitement from the local community about our new restaurant in Winchester, and we’re looking forward to opening our doors. Folks here are going to love our friendly service and popular, freshly-made menu items.”

Bojangles’ has opened four stores in central Kentucky this year, with more locations planned in 2017.

The Winchester restaurant is estimated to have 30 to 35 team members, will measure approximately 3,800 square feet and will seat more than 70 guests.

Founded in 1977, Bojangles’ is known for popular menu items like hand-breaded bone-in chicken; hot, fresh buttermilk biscuits, made from scratch every 20 minutes; original “fixin’s (sides) and its “Legendary Iced Tea.” Bojangles’ is also the original home of breakfast, with the full breakfast menu served hot and fresh all day, every day.

Business hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
