GRC SBDM meeting today

The George Rogers Clark High School-based Decision-making Council will meet at 4:30 p.m. today at the school’s SBDM conference room.

Ag council meeting today

The Clark County Ag Development Council will meet at 7 p.m. today at the Clark County Extension Service, 1400 Fortune Drive.

Licensing board meeting today

The Winchester Licensing board will meet at 5 p.m. today at Winchester City Hall.

Barr, Mayfield hosting rally 

U.S. Rep. Andy Barr and State Rep. Donna Mayfield will host a “get out and vote” rally at 6 p.m. today in the parking lot in front of Major Dad’s Military Surplus. The public is invited.

Writers group meeting 

The Winchester-Clark County writers group will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Clark County Public library. The public is invited.

Fix a Feral Cat meeting

“Fix a Cat Campaign: A Plan to Spay and Neuter Homeless Cats in Clark County” will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Clark County Public Library. A presentation about homeless cats will be followed by Q&A session. More information, email homelesscats.13@gmail.com.

Board of Adjustments meeting Nov. 10

The Winchester/Clark County Board of Adjustments will have a special meeting and public hearing at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Commission Chambers at City Hall.

Extension Council meeting Nov. 14

The Clark County Cooperative Extension Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14 at the Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive.

American Legion meeting Nov. 17

American Legion Post 25 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Elks Club on Shoppers Drive. All veterans are welcome.

Yard waste collection cutoff

The last day for yard waste collection (green curb-its) for the 2016 season will be Thursday, Nov. 17. Yard waste collection will resume again in 2017.

Leaf collection under way

Winchester Public Works employees are collecting leaves. Leaves should be raked to the utility strip in front of homes, but not into the street. Leaves will not be picked up that contain tree limbs or other foreign debris. Three trucks will be collecting leaves, but no specific days have been set. Vehicles should not be parked at the curb in front of leaf piles. Trucks will make complete passes through the city without backtracking. For more information, call 744-3253.
