The Clark County Health Department is asking for help to identify the owner of a cat that bit a lady last week.

Jim Cowan, health environmentalist for CCHD, said the bite happened in the lower parking lot of the health department at 400 Professional Ave. He said people in the area had been feeding the cat and it bit one of them.

The bite happened Friday, Nov. 4.

He said the bite broke the skin and the victim’s doctor advised her to find the owner and vaccination records.

Cowan said the cat is an adult. It is yellow and white and has a white collar. The cat has been seen in the Professional Avenue and Fulton Road neighborhood.

Anyone with information about the cat or its owner is asked to call the health department at 385-4453 or animal control at 737-0053.
