Rev. Larry Walton Brown, 75

Published 10:49 am Monday, November 14, 2016

Rev. Larry Walton Brown, 75, of Morgantown, went home to glory Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Hospice House of Southern Ky. in Bowling Green.

Larry was born in Sonora to Richard and Lorene Brown. He was a pastor and truly loved helping others and showing them the love of Jesus. Ordained at Barren Run Baptist Church, Larry pastored numerous churches in Kentucky and West Virginia from 1974 to 2014. He was a member of Green Brier Baptist Church. Larry was a former trustee of Campbellsville College, held numerous positions in the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and was a member of Right Angle Lodge #233 in Winchester, Ky. In all these things, his only boast was Jesus, his hope and righteousness before God. He would not want any of the credit for the good things in his life but knew they were the mercies and goodness of God.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Richard W. Brown; mother, Lorene Brown; sister, Bonita Jean Vertrees.
