Bert Clay Martin, 63, of Winchester, husband of Marcy Greatbatch Martin, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Bert was born August 27, 1953, in Mt. Sterling, KY, to the late Richard and Georgeanna Watkins Martin. Bert was a mechanic and co-owner/operator of a property management company. He was a proud member of the Clark County Saddle Club.

In addition to his wife Marcy, Bert is survived by two sons, Richard Hampton Martin and his wife, Angie of Science Ridge, and Robert Martin of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Lisa Martin of Winchester; two sisters, Carol Martin of Lexington, Ruth Martin of Columbia; one brother, John Martin of Winchester.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Martin, Roy Martin, and Junior Martin. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor Bert’s life will be conducted 7:00PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Scobee Funeral Home by Dr. Ed Mesta.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until the time of service.
