Community Thanksgiving dinner
Grace Bible Church 250 N. Main. St. will host its annual community Thanksgiving dinner from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. For more information, call the church at 737-4722.
Open burning banned
Because of extreme dry conditions, Clark County Judge-Executive Henry Branham, upon advisement from Clark County Fire Chief Billy Jones, declared a ban on open burning effective Oct. 18. The ban is still in effect and will be until significant rainfall is recorded. For more information, contact the Clark County Fire Department at 745-0260.
Thanksgiving meal at First UMC
There will be a Thanksgiving meal for the community at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, 204 S. Main St. Delivery will be available. For more information, call 744-5410.
City commission meetings cancelled
The Winchester Board of Commissioners meetings scheduled for Dec. 6 and Dec. 20 have been cancelled and rescheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 13 in the commission chambers at City Hall.
Push-in ceremony for fire truck
There will be a push-in ceremony for Winchester Fire-EMS Truck 3 from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Station 3, 1100 Fortune Drive.
Winchester Chorale performances
The Winchester Chorale’s annual Christmas concert will be at First Church of God, 2500 Colby Road. The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4.
