William H. “Bill” Stamper, 86

William H. “Bill” Stamper, 86, widower of Deloris Anderson Stamper, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at University of Kentucky Medical Center.

A native of Clark County, he was born on May 8, 1930, to the late Clarence and Stella Burkhart Stamper. He was a retired United States Marine 1st Sergeant, having served in both Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Stamper was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Lexington Marine Corp League. 

Survivors include two sons, Larry Wayne (Rita) Stamper and William Steven (Gloria) Stamper; two daughters, Deborah Lynn (Stephen) Silvernale and Karen Sue (Danny) Taylor; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl and Clarence Jr. Stamper; three sisters, Goldie, Pat and Dorothy; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Stamper. 

Services will be at 1:00PM Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Scobee Funeral Home by Travis Huber. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steven Stamper, Robyn Carpenter, Jason Silvernale, Nycole Huber, Brian Silvernale, BJ Anderson, Stephen Silvernale and Danny Taylor. Brianna Stamper will serve as an honorary pallbearer. 

Family will receive friends from 11:00AM until time of service.
