Shearer SBDM special meeting

The Shearer School-based Decision-making Council will have a special meeting at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in the Shearer Conference Room. The 2016–17 CSIP (Consolidated School Improvement Plan) will be finalized and approved.

Extension board meetings

The Clark County Cooperative Extension District Board, Cooperative Extension Council, 4-H Council and Ag Advisory Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at the Clark County Extension Office to begin obtaining input for filling two new county agent positions. The District Board will meet at the conclusion of this meeting.

Open burning banned 

Because of extreme dry conditions, Clark County Judge-Executive Henry Branham, upon advisement from Clark County Fire Chief Billy Jones, declared a ban on open burning effective Oct. 18. The ban is still in effect and will be until significant rainfall is recorded. For more information, contact the Clark County Fire Department at 745-0260.

City commission meetings cancelled 

The Winchester Board of Commissioners meetings scheduled for Dec. 6 and Dec. 20 have been cancelled and rescheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 13 in the commission chambers at City Hall.

Push-in ceremony for fire truck

There will be a push-in ceremony for Winchester Fire-EMS Truck 3 from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Station 3, 1100 Fortune Drive.

Winchester Chorale performances

The Winchester Chorale’s annual Christmas concert will be at First Church of God, 2500 Colby Road. The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4.

Board of Adjustments meeting 

The Winchester-Clark County Board of Adjustments will have a meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the city commission chambers at Winchester City Hall, 32 Wall St.
