Emma Howard Reffitt, 78, widow of J.D. Reffitt for 46 years, passed away on Saturday, December 03, 2016, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Stanley Howard and Bertha Kennon Howard, born on October 23, 1938, in Madison County, Kentucky. She was retired from Sylvania and a member of Church of God Cathedral. 

Survivors include two sons, Richard (Anita) Reffitt and Jason (Susan) Reffitt; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Conrad Russell of Salem, Indiana; two aunts, Berite Mae Kennon of Clay City, KY and Dorlene Kennon of Winchester, KY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna Marie Reffitt; two sisters, Anna Marlene Howard and Loretta Howard Russell; and one brother, George William Howard.

Services will be at 2:00PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2016, by Pastors David Douglas and Ed Toler at Scobee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kennon Cemetery, Clay City, KY. Pallbearers will be Chris Elam, Joshua, Justin and Jacob Reffitt, Harry Johnson and Robert Gayheart. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Oakley, Danny Griffett, Chuck Steele and Ladies Ministry of Church of God Cathedral. 

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-7:00PM at Scobee Funeral Home.
