WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Jacob D. Hopkins, 26, was charged Tuesday with theft by unlawful taking, non-payment of fines and was served a warrant.

— Lee Finley Johnson, 32, was charged Tuesday with disregarding a stop sign, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, driving under the influence, third-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and bribery of a public servant.

Reports

— At 12:06 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a vehicle fire at Main and Washington streets

— At 10:47 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 1050 Early Drive after a GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle on Monday.

— At 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 21 Pendleton St. concerning a theft.

— At 3:22 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning stolen checks.

— At 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 1195 Fulton Road concerning a possible sexual assault.

— At 5:29 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning a stolen tablet computer.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Accidents

— At 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Colby Road in which Amanda C. Merritt of Lexington swerved to avoid a squirrel, struck an embankment and hit a tree. She was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Tuesday, emergency personnel responded to three general medical calls, two cardiac cases and two respiratory cases.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 12:14 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 217 Hickory Lane.

— At 6:17 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Colby and Basin Springs roads.

— At 6:40 a.m. today, firefighters responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the westbound 103 mile marker.
