One of the largest crowds to ever see a Christmas parade in Winchester turned out Sunday to greet the guests of honor, the George Rogers Clark High School Cardinals, who won the 4A football championship Saturday at Cardinal Stadium in Louisville over the Louisville St. Xavier High School Tigers in one of the most thrilling state championship games in years.

Joe Ann Dove, Winchester, has been re-apppointed to the State Infant-Toddler Interagency Coordinating Council by Gov. Wallace G. Wilkinson. She will serve until November 1994.

Five local groups are among 118 choral groups from 45 counties that will participate in the fourth annual Kentucky Christmas Chorus Dec. 17 at Lexington’s Rupp Arena. They include the Central Baptist Church Worship Choir, the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Clark Middle School, Conkwright Middle School and St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church.
