The Winchester-Clark County Farmers’ Market is set to host its Christmas open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday. It will be at 18 N. Main St., which is the former Graham’s Boot Store.

You’ll be able to shop for winter-blooming bulbs and holiday container gardens, farm fresh eggs, dried spices, local pork and beef, gourmet and regular locally-roasted coffee, locally-grown and processed hot sauce, homemade gingerbread, honey, jams and jellies, wool dryer balls, homemade crafts and so much more.

You may also enjoy the handmade baskets, hand-crafted award-winning wines and the essential soaps and fine body products that will be available.

I’ll be at the open house that day as well. I’ll have information and recipes on how to make food gifts in a jar and will have lots of giveaways that will make perfect stocking stuffers.

Be mindful that shopping at our local farmers market has numerous benefits for you, the local farmers and our community.

Buying from local farmers ensures you are providing your family with locally-produced items.

Buying from the farmers market is also good for our local economy because it keeps your money in your community. It allows our growers with small- to medium-sized operations to receive a fair price for their products without having to compete against large commercial growers.

Don’t forget, the Winchester-Clark County Farmers See you on Saturday!
