CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 10:22 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the area of Ford Hampton Road. It was traced to an outbuilding at 2858 Ford Hampton Road, where a fire was burning in a fireplace but the chimney was not connected. The fire was extinguished.

— On Tuesday, emergency personnel responded to five general medical calls and three cardiac cases.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— James Martin Webb, 44, was charged Tuesday with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reports

— At 11:02 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 1215 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a theft.

— At 5:51 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 359 E. Washington St. concerning an open door and broken windows.

— At 10:09 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Lexington Avenue and Hays Street concerning an assault.

Accidents

— At 6:37 p.m. Dec. 17, officers responded to an injury accident on Bypass Road in which Rebekah Taylor of 551 Goose Creek Road was stopped to make a turn. She told police she thought it was her turn to move and she struck a vehicle in front of her, driven by Linville Barnett of Jackson. A passenger in the Barnett’s vehicle, Jessica Barnett, was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
