— Clark County Board of Education organizational meeting, 6 p.m. at Central Office, 1600 W. Lexington Ave. A special meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m.

— Baker Intermediate School-based Decision-making Council meeting, 4 p.m. in the school’s library.

SATURDAY, JAN. 7

— Community prayer service, 10 a.m. at Cornerstone Christian Church on Belmont Avenue. There will be special prayers by community leaders for our schools and teachers; volunteers, nonprofits and churches; courts, law enforcement and emergency responders; active duty and retired military; elected officials, appointed officials and civil government; and those in distress.
