Community Education classes offered
The following are upcoming Community Education classes:
— Taste of Yoga, Sundays, Jan. 8–22, 2-3 p.m., $20
— Chair Yoga, Mondays, Jan. 9-Feb. 13, 2-3 p.m., $25
— Easy Flow Yoga, Mondays, Jan. 9–Feb.13, 6-7 p.m., $25
— Easy Flow Yoga, Wednesdays, Jan. 11–Feb. 8, 6-7 p.m., $25
— Easy Flow Yoga, Thursdays, Jan. 12–Feb. 9, 9:15-10:15 a.m., $25.

Parks and Rec holiday hours
Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Jan. 1. Facilities will close at 4 p.m. Friday and Dec. 31. Everything will reopen at 8 a.m. Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
Leaf collection extended
City-wide leaf collection will end today.
GRC SBDM meeting
The George Rogers Clark High School-based Decision-making Council will meet at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, in the SBDM conference room.
County clerk’s office closed for holiday
The Clark County Clerk’s office will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 through Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas. The office will resume regular hours Tuesday, Dec. 27.
FAFSA family night
Seniors and parents of seniors are invited to FAFSA Family Night from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 5 at George Rogers Clark High School. The event is hosted by GEAR UP and KHEAA. There will be a light meal served. Participants should bring social security numbers for both parents and the student and 2015 tax information. School board to meet Jan. 3
The Clark County Board of Education will hold an Organizational Board Meeting on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 6 p.m., followed by a Special Meeting at 6:30 p.m. The meetings will be in the Board Room at the Central Office Building located at 1600 W. Lexington Ave.
Sun holiday closing
The Winchester Sun offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 26, in observance of Christmas. We will not produce a paper that day. Our Christmas Sunday edition will be delivered early Saturday to allow employees to spend the holiday with their families. We will resume regular publication and office hours Tuesday, Dec. 27.
