Jingle bells, wagging tales

realize a good portion of my articles discuss diseases and depressing topics, but they are designed to educate pet owners so they are able to better care for their pets.

Christmas time is an excellent opportunity for all of us to be thankful and count our blessings even with regards to our pets, also known as furry family members. It is a good time to take a few extra moments to play with our pets and give them our undivided attention.

Since I mostly write about serious situations affecting pets in negative ways all year long, I like to just have fun with at least one article at Christmas time. Maybe you would like to surprise your family or friends by singing along to “Jingle Bells” only with a little twist of pet humor.

At Christmas time, my family tries to stop and reflect on our blessings and we try to help others and to give back to the community. Thanks for reading my column and have a blessed holiday! Remember to contact your veterinarian to ensure that your pet lives a long, healthy and happy life. Merry Christmas to all!

“Jingle Bells, Wagging Tails”

Romping through the snow

In a fun and playful way

O’er the yard they go

Barking all the way

Bells on collars ring

Making neighbors’ fright

What fun it is to call and yell

While watching such a sight

Oh, jingle bells, wagging tails

Wagging all the way

Oh, what fun it is to have

Dogs happy when they play

Jingle bells, wagging tails

Wagging all the way

Oh, what fun it is to have

Dogs happy when they play

A day or two ago

I thought I’d go outside

And soon Marlo so bright

Was right there by my side

The dogs in snow were sank

Misfortune were they not

We got into a drifted bank

Snow dog fun we got

Oh, jingle bells wagging tails

Wagging all the way

Oh, what fun it is to have

Dogs happy when they play

Jingle bells, wagging tails

Wagging all the way

Oh, what fun it is to have

Dogs happy when they play.
