School board special meeting Tuesday

The Clark County Board of Education will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Central Office, 1600 W. Lexington Ave. Items on the agenda include interviews for board attorneys and a closed session disciplinary hearing.

Christmas tree collection

Winchester Municipal Utilities will collect live Christmas trees Jan. 16-19. Trees will be picked up on customers’ yard waste collection day. All trees must be free of stands, lights and ornaments. Trees should not be bagged. Have trees to the curb by 7 a.m. of scheduled pick-up day. Trees can also be brought directly to the transfer station for disposal at no cost. For more information, contact the WMU solid waste department at 744-1170.

Fiscal Court meeting Wednesday

The Clark County Fiscal Court will meet in regular session at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Items on the agenda include second readings of a zoning ordinance amendment and an amended personnel policy for the county road department, and several appointments. The meeting is open to the public.

AmbitionFest! 2017 

Join internationally-acclaimed leader Rich Harwood for AmbitionFest! 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at Campbell Junior High School, 620 Boone Ave. The event is free and open to the public.

Registered nurse aide classes starting

Community Education is offering a state registered nurse aide class this spring.
