School board special meeting 

The Clark County Board of Education will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Central Office, 1600 W. Lexington Ave. Items on the agenda include interviews for board attorneys and a closed session disciplinary hearing.

Fiscal Court meeting Wednesday

The Clark County Fiscal Court will meet in regular session at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Items on the agenda include second readings of a zoning ordinance amendment and an amended personnel policy for the county road department, and several appointments. The meeting is open to the public.

Extension board meeting Jan. 13

The Clark County Cooperative Extension District Board will meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive.

Christmas tree collection 

Winchester Municipal Utilities will collect live Christmas trees Jan. 16-19. Trees will be picked up on customers’ yard waste collection day. All trees must be free of stands, lights and ornaments. Trees should not be bagged. Have trees to the curb by 7 a.m. of scheduled pick-up day. Trees can also be brought directly to the transfer station for disposal at no cost. SRNA classes to be offered 

Community Education is offering a State Registered Nurse Aide class this spring. Classes begin March 7 and continue through May 21.
