Tom Graham, 82, of Brentwood, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tom leaves behind a loving family and many treasured friends. He was born on July 24, 1934 in Bethany, Kentucky, and was the son of the late George Thomas and Josie Lee Hollon Graham. He was the 13th of 14 children born to the couple. He graduated from Wolfe County High School and was voted President of his class all four years. He attended the University of Kentucky and was a member of UK’s bowling team. In January of 1954, he enlisted in the US Army and became a Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. He served in Germany and Alaska.
Tom returned home to Winchester, Kentucky, where he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Townsend, on June 12, 1959. Within six years, they had three children whom they taught to “experience life to the fullest.” Tom took his family on extensive vacations so they could “see the world.” He retired from IBM in 1990 after 32 years of service. In 2006, Tom and Pat moved to Brentwood, TN, where they became members of Clearview Baptist Church and the Clarion Sunday School Group. Tom loved everyone in the Sunday School Group calling them his best friends. He loved life and enjoyed people. He was a consummate gentleman with a renowned sense of humor and clever wit. There is no doubt, he was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He especially loved golfing with them.
Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Graham, Edward Graham, Alvin Graham, Henry Ford Graham, Fonzie Graham and Hollon Graham; his sisters, Belle Lockard and Nora Hollon.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia A Townsend Graham; his children Donna Englert and her husband Stephen of Franklin, TN, Reese Graham of Cody, WY and John Graham and his wife Leah of Winchester, KY; his grandchildren, Scott Englert, Graham Englert, Thomas Graham, John Riley Graham, Jiali Graham and Audrey Graham; and his sisters, Ruby Linkous of Stanton, KY, Elsie Miller of Campton, KY and Ruth Cross of Troy, OH.
Pallbearers are his grandsons and nephews, Chuck Graham, Joe Graham, Brian Graham and Judge Larry Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be JB Murphy, Bill Graham, GD Graham, Charlie Ledger, Gary Rice, George Elkins and members of the Clarion Sunday School Group.

Arrangements are being handled by Scobee Funeral Home, 219 West Lexington Ave, Winchester, KY 40391. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2017 by Rev Dr. Ed Thiele, Dr. Al Parks and Rev John Gardner. Interment will follow at the Graham Cemetery in Winchester, KY.
