Etta M. Shearer, 91, Lawrenceburg, formerly of Winchester, widow of Oliver C. Shearer, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Etta was born on December 11, 1925, in Breathitt County to the late Elsberry and Orlena Smith Noble. She was a retired secretary for Muncie Buick.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay (Bill) Wise of Lawrenceburg, Corey M. Stanfield of Winchester; two sons, E. Tex (Marsha) Reddick II of Columbia, KY, Bernard T. Carpenter of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Clifton R. Wise, Charmee (Eric) Potter, Chandee Felder, Bess (Brandon) Standley, Ryan C. (Kathie) Sosby, Alex L. (Carolyn) Carpenter; eight great-grandchildren, Callee, Evan, Owen, Reagan, Colson, Raegan, Jackson, Mason; one sister, Ellen (Jack) Brown; one brother, Clay (Shirley) Noble.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Monday, January 16, 2017, at Scobee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:30AM until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
