Rev. James (Jimmy) W. Clark, 90, died Monday, January 16, 2017. A native of Clark County, he was the son of the late Lucille Goff and William D. Clark. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy B. Clark.

He is survived by two sons, James W. Clark, Jr. and wife, Linda; Ernest D. Clark and wife, Teresa; one daughter, Anna C. Laurence; five grandchildren, Gary Clark, Jaci Clark Taylor, Cicely Woodyard, Raechel Travis, and Jason Clark; four great-grandchildren, Addison Clark Taylor, Ethan Travis, Matthew Travis and Sarah Clark.

He was a retired minister of the First Church of God having pastored the Torrent Church of God for 28 years, pastoring also in Powell, Wolfe and Lee counties over 53 years. He was also retired from the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company as well as a retired farmer.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Rev. James W. Clark will be conducted 11:00AM, Friday, January 20, 2017 at the West Bend First Church of God, 8861 Winchester Road, Clay City, KY. 40312. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jaci Taylor, Trent Travis, John Woodyard, Gary Clark, Jason Clark, Bennie Childers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ministers from the First Church of God and Gerald Childers, Elmer Whisman, Sherrill Bush.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Thursday at Scobee Funeral Home, 219 West Lexington Avenue, Winchester, Kentucky 40391.
