The George Rogers Clark High School boys basketball team bounced back with a win in its second road game in as many days by beating Tates Creek 61-47 in Lexington.
The Cardinals had their five-game winning streak snapped in Rowan County Thursday night, but bounced back into the win column with a solid victory Friday.
Despite 19 points from Creek’s Isaiah Allen — 10 of which came in the fourth quarter — the Cardinals held on for their 14th win of the season, improving their record to 14-8.
Creek falls to 4-17 with its sixth straight loss.
Ryan Cooper finished with a double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 12 rebunds. Jordan Graham led the Cardinals with 18 points and five assists. Will Philpot put in 14 points while grabbing seven rebounds.
Chase Taylor finished with eight points and four assists.
The Cards are just about halfway through their seven-game road trip. They visit Garrard County Monday.
