Brenda Browning, 2765 Crows Ridge Road, has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Murray State university, Murray. To be named, students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a scale of 4.0

Deanna M. King, Winchester, was recently inducted into the chapter of Western Kentucky university chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Membership in the organization is based on academic achievements during a student’s freshman year.

Hawks Nest Farm, Winchester, is a new member of the American Angus Association, according to an announcement from the organization, based in St. Joseph Mo.
