Dementia, Alzheimer’s caregivers group

There will be an Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care support group meeting at 6 p.m. Feb. 14 at First United Methodist Church on South Main Street. Any caregiver is welcome to attend meetings. Meetings will include discussions about topics pertinent to Alzheimers or Dementia care and open discussion among caregivers. For more information, contact Sandra Johnson at 859-293-2968.

Clark County GOP meeting Saturday

The Clark County Republican Party will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Golden Corral. The speaker Tim Gilliam of Americans for Prosperity. All registered Republicans are welcome.

Winchester Lions Club meeting today

The Winchester Lions Club will have a meeting to reorganize itself at 7 p.m. today at Arby’s. It is open to anyone interested in joining and helping revitalize the 86-year-old club. For more information, 744-6103.

Clark 4-H Council meeting today

The Clark County 4-H Council will meet at 6:15 p.m. today at the Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive.

AARP meeting today

AARP Chapter 632 will meet at 4:30 p.m. today at the James B. Allen Generations Center. Winchester Mayor Ed Burtner will be the speaker. The meeting will be canceled if school is closed for weather.

Sylvania retirees meeting Feb. 14

Winchester GTE/Sylvania/Osram/UAW retirees will gather for lunch 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14 at the Broadway Café in Winchester. All Winchester Sylvania retirees and former employees are welcome to join us for lunch. If Clark County Schools are closed because of weather, the group will NOT gather for lunch.

Nurse aide classes to be offered 

Community Education is offering a state registered nurse aide class this spring. Classes begin March 7 and continue through May 21.
