Melville E. Smith, 83, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his home.

He was born on May 3, 1933, in Clark County to the late Robert and Mary Dixon Smith. He was a retired insurance agent. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War.

He is survived by two daughters, Paula (Wayne) Joslin of Winchester and Pamela (Jorge) Hersel of Virginia. Five grandchildren, Will Joslin, Whitney (Daniel) Cook, Matt (Emily) Hersel, Nathan Hersel and Benjamin Hersel. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Scobee Funeral Home by Reverend Ron Montgomery. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
