CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 1:27 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a report of smoke near Kiddville Road.

— At 1:35 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a brush fire at 654 Pine Ridge Road.

— At 3:19 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a brush fire on Lulbegrud Road.

— At 5:20 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a barn fire on Oil Springs Road.

— At 3:08 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the 103 mile marker.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Reports

— At 3:44 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to 105 Mimosa Drive concerning a stolen vehicle, which was returned with damage.

Accidents

— At 5:50 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Redwing Drive in which Rosalinde Phillips of 5255 Iron Works Road turned left from Bullion Boulevard onto Redwing and collided with another vehicle, driven by Minnie L. Taulbee of 2130 Muddy Creek Road. Talbee was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center after complaining of back pain.

— At 3:07 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a fatal accident on Interstate 64 near the 103 mile marker. The driver, Alexandra Aponte of Vine Grove, said she was driving west when another vehicle ran her off the road and into the median. Her vehicle crossed the westbound lanes and struck an embankment before coming to rest in the middle of the westbound lanes. Aponte was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center, along with a 7-month-old infant, Leilani Adams. The infant was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where she died Sunday morning. Another passenger, Lavonte Q. Adams of Elizabethtown, was not injured.
