Winchester residents bundled up to brave the cold Thursday evening as they took to the streets of downtown for the first Winter Walk About.

The event was created by several businesses after they learned that the Wine About Winter tasting event would not be returning this year.

Merchants from various stores and restaurants offered specials as well as free food and drinks to those in attendance.
