Virgil Perkins Jr., 62, of Winchester, son of the late Norma J. Haddix-Hedger and Virgil Perkins Sr., passed away Monday at the Clark Regional Medical Center.

He was a 1972 George Rogers Clark graduate and retired from the Housing Authority for the City of Winchester.

He is survived by sisters, Beverly Chism and Judy (Bill) Thompson; brothers, Charles (Frances) Highley, Calvin (Nikki) Highley, Danny (Deana) Perkins and Arnold Perkins; his companion, Helen Marcum-Perkins; son, Steven (Nicole) Perkins; daughters, Jessica Rose, Crystal McVey, Heaven Owens and Elizabeth Perkins; grandchildren, Bailey Faulconer, Shelby Faulconer, Alyssa Waldron, Jared McVey, Kylee Perkins and Jacob Pigman.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 17, at 2pm at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St. The family will receive friends on Friday from noon until the hour of services.

Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
