Jerry Donald Keaton, 78, devoted husband of Crystal A. Keaton, passed away February 18, 2017, at home with family by his side.

Preceding his death were his parents, Richard and Ruby Keaton.

He began his journey in West Virginia. Attended high school in Logan and graduated from Marshall University in 1960, was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was an accountant for over 50 years, 45 as owner and operator of Keaton’s Accounting Services in Winchester. He had an entrepreneurial passion, loved new business ventures and highly valued his clients. He missed them dearly when he retired. He had a genuine commitment to helping loved ones achieve their educational goals. He humbly and quietly gave to others in need.

He enjoyed golf, was a past president of Kiwanis in Winchester and held several bank board positions in Kentucky and West Virginia. His unique sense of humor was a joy to all who loved him.

Other loving survivors include his brother, Ronald Keaton (Karen) of Buffalo, NY; sister Kathy Keaton of Lexington; son Dennis Keaton and daughter Cheryl Marsh (Nick) of Lexington; step-son Gary Plowman (Christina) of Winchester. Grandchildren include; Nickolas Keaton (Jordan), Sarah Marsh Brockmeyer (Kyle), Kendall Keefe (Kye), Chaney Keaton, Ramsey Keaton, Madison Plowman and Taylor Plowman. Great Grandchildren include Jaden, Jonathan and Norah. He also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews and dear friends Dennis White, Diane Ray and Susan Noble.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Hospice East 407 Shoppers Dr. Winchester, KY. 40391.

Memorial services will be at 1:00PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Scobee Funeral Home by Reverend Doctor John Owen. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the memorial service.
