Dolores Puckett Gross departed this life, onto a better life on to a better life on Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Alva and Nettie Patton Puckett and the widow of Odell Gross to whom she was married for 66 wonderful years.

She was a 1951 graduate of Wesleyan College and a former teacher in the Clark County School System having taught at Victory Heights, Becknerville and Hannah McClure Schools. She later worked as a secretary at Odell Gross Elementary School before retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship at First Christian Church where she and husband Odell were members since 1959.

She was predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by 3 nieces, 2 nephews and several great nieces and nephews. 

Services will be at 11:00AM Friday, February 24, 2017, at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Jerry Johns. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM Friday until time of service.
