Wayne B. Smith, pastor of Southland Christian Church, Lexington, for 35 years, will be the evangelist for spring revival services at the Mt. Zion Christian Church at Becknerville.

Education reform will still get priority treatment and health care issues will be postponed for a late-fall special session after a task force can further study the matter. That is the message both local legislators gave as they addressed members of the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce this morning at East Kentucky power.

After receiving a letter last week from the state, the Clark County Board of Education has accepted defeat and agreed not to venture to Frankfort today to present its case at the state board meeting. One official indicated the local board will likely vote next week to continue with plans to break ground on a single elementary school to replace two existing facilities.
