CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Reports

— At 7:50 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to 5149 Muddy Creek Road after the caller said she was locked in her basement by two other people, who took her safe and her car (see page 1)

Accidents

— At 9:50 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the 101-mile marker in which Charlene Combs of Mount Sterling was traveling west when she lost control of the truck on an onramp and spun, striking a tree. The passenger, Terrence Combs of Mount Sterling, was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Elvin Ray Catron, 42, was charged Monday with theft by unlawful taking, third-degree criminal trespassing, tampering with physical evidence, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Lori B. Shuler, 22, was charged Monday with theft by unlawful taking.

— Martina Marie Townsend, 20, was charged Monday with theft by unlawful taking.

Reports

— At 3:51 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Walmart, 1859 Bypass Road, for a criminal trespassing complaint. Elvin Ray Catron was arrested for multiple offenses.

— At 4:24 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 131 Alabama St. concerning the theft of a handgun from a vehicle.

— At 6:12 p.m. Monday, officers were called to Walmart, 1859 Bypass Road concerning a theft. Lori B. Shuler was charged with theft by unlawful taking.

— At 11:24 p.m. Monday, officers were called to 25 Ashland Ave. concerning a stabbing.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Monday, emergency personnel responded to 16 general medical calls, one respiratory case and two seizures.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 9:33 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the 101 mile marker.

— At 3:22 p.m. Monday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 5303 Trapp Goff’s Corner Road.
