Helen Marie Cropp, 89

Helen Marie Cropp, 89, widow of Jack William Cropp, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 in her home with her loving family by her side.

Helen was born on December 12, 1927 in Aspers, Pennsylvania to the late Lloyd David Howe and Viola Sponseller Howe. She worked as a cook at the Clark Co. Hospital, volunteered in the gift shop at the Mt. Sterling Hospital and was a member of the Montgomery County Metropolitan Women’s Club. Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Sterling, where she active in the church circle group.

Helen is survived by four children, Chris Cropp and his wife, Agnes of Taylorsville, George Cropp and his wife, Donna of Lexington, Sandy Moore and her husband, Jack of Mt. Sterling, Linda Roomi and her husband, Ronnie of Rockville, MD; nine grandchildren, Wendy Horseman of Mt. Sterling, Christa Drury of Taylorsville, Sandra Cole of Taylorsville, Ronda Goldy of Taylorsville, Casey Cropp of Georgetown, Caroline Cropp of Lexington, Sara Estrada of Dallas, TX, David Saidi of Frederick, MD and Sam Saidi of Frederick, MD; nine great-grandchildren, Bruce Horseman, Christopher Drury, Noah Cole, Elijah Cole, Christian Miller, Gavyn Jordan, Adleigh Cropp, Christopher Vigil and Leila Estrada; one brother, Raymond Howe of Dover, PA; two sisters, Mary Lou Miller of Hanover, PA and Gertie Peters of Biglerville, PA; Helen also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack William Cropp on June 27, 2003.

In keeping with Helen’s wishes there are no services planned at this time. The family takes great comfort in knowing that Helen is now rejoicing with our Lord and Savior alongside her beloved husband Jack. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Sterling First Presbyterian Church, 125 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, KY. 40353 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
