A Sunday morning fire at an apartment complex is under investigation.

Winchester and Clark County firefighters were called to the apartments at 250 Oxford Drive shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday, Winchester Fire-EMS Battalion Chief Chris Whiteley said. When they reached the scene, there was light smoke coming from a top floor apartment. Once firefighters entered the apartment, it was filled with heavy smoke and they found several points of origin, he said.

The fire was contained to the apartment, he said. The tenant was not home at the time. No injuries were reported, he said.

The fire marshal and arson investigator are exploring the cause of the fire, he said.

Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours, Whiteley said.
